What is the Product Board Animal Feed?

The Product Board Animal Feed is a statutory regulatory industrial organisation. It was established at the request of the Dutch feed business.

The task of the Product Board (part of the arable product boards) is to serve the general public interest and also the common interests of the companies and employees in the production column. The board has been established for the Dutch feed column. In addition to feed companies, this also includes livestock companies (see the diagram below)

Representatives of the organisations of companies and employees in the feed column for the board of the Product Board Animal Feed. The board is advised by the Social Economic Council (SER), the general umbrella organisation for statutory regulatory industrial organisations and by the ministries involved in the feed column. The feed companies finance the Product Board.

Platform function
The most important task of the Product Board Animal Feed is the fulfilment of a platform function for all the links in the feed column. The discussion and coordination of common matters of interest forms the basis for the implementation of a common policy. In addition, the Product Board promotes harmonisation between the feed sector and the subsequent links in the feed production chain.

Main functions

  2. Provision of service to the sectors within the feed column with respect to expertise and information, research, promotion and (administrative) implementation of the desired activities
