TNO database can prevent a recall
In future events of animal feed incidents, the authorities and companies can make use of TNO’s transfer database. “This new database enables us to predict any risks to humans and animals after contamination incidents quicker and with more accuracy”, says researcher Monique Rennen of TNO. | Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority approves feed transport hygiene protocol
The feed sector has recently acquired its own hygiene protocol for the transport of feed if a infectious disease has broken out. The protocol was drawn up by the PDV in cooperation with Nevedi and Transport & Logistics Netherlands. The hygiene protocol has been approved by the Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority.
