EurepGAP accepts GMP+
EurepGap accepts GMP+: 2006 in its certification scheme. In a letter to the Product Board Animal Feed, EurepGap has stated that GMP+: 2006 meets the requirements which the supermarkets set for the production of feed.
Cattle farmers who participate in the livestock standard of EurepGap can, because of this acceptance, purchase feed from GMP+-certified companies. They may also decide on another feed scheme which is accepted by EurepGAP.
The inclusion of the food safety certificate of the feed sector with that of the retail sector also applies in reverse. The Dutch Association of Food Trade Organisations (CBL) has since recently been represented in the Central College of Experts for the Animal Feed Sector.
The Central College of Experts for the Animal Feed Sector monitors the certification scheme and the GMP+ certification bodies. This college therefore represents all the interested parties in the animal feed sector.
