The logo of the GMP+ certification scheme has been updated and is now based on the name of the scheme in English: GMP+ Feed Safety Assurance scheme (GMP+ FSA scheme).

The change to the logo is a direct consequence of the transfer of the administration of the GMP+ certification scheme from the Product Board Animal Feed to GMP+ International. The old logo still contains the name of the current administrator (Product Board Animal Feed). It is for this reason that a new logo has been designed. The new logo is already available on the PDV website in the login section and can be used from 1 January 2010 onwards in accordance with the rules for the use of the current logo.

It is of course not possible for all GMP+-certified companies and certifying bodies immediately only to make use of the new logo in contracts, publications, etc. This is also not necessary because the executive committee of the Product Board Animal Feed has decided and also announced that GMP+ International must be understood in all references to the Product Board Animal Feed in contracts, certificates and other publications and that GMP+ certified companies must be understood as references to GMP+ International. This means that it is not necessary to change all sorts of existing documents. From 1 January 2010, however, or as quickly as is reasonably possible after that, only the new name and the new logo may be used in new contracts, new certificates or other publications.

The transitional period will last for 3 years which means that from 1 January 2013 only the new GMP+ FSA logo may be used. References in other publications and contracts to the Product Board Animal Feed may also not appear from 1 January 2013 onwards.
