The GMP+ quality assurance regulation does not meet the new requirements of the Regulation. The regulation requires, among other things, that every distributive trader is himself responsible for the safety of the feeds supplied and this must also be demonstrated by the application of his own HACCP procedures. It was for this reason therefore that it was decided in June 2008 that the GMP+ quality assurance regulation would lapse with effect from 1 July 2009. The GMP+ B3.2 standard has been drawn up in its place and this does comply with the new statutory requirements.
The above means that per 1 July 2009 the registration of guaranteed distributive traders will lapse in the PDV database of certified companies. Distributive traders which now have a GMP+ certificate are (or soon will be) included individually in the PDV database of certified companies. The database can be consulted via the accompanying link.
In conclusion
The GMP+ B3.2 standard and the Question & Answer List for Distributive trade in feedstuffs for farm animals for direct supply to cattle farms can be found on the PDV website.
