Database of Road Transport Loads

The Product Board Animal Feed has created a digital database from the paper list of load classifications in GMP+ Appendix 14 Road Transport. Companies can search by product name, product number, loading category or cleaning regime and for each product there is a data sheet available with information on the product, the cleaning regime and additional instructions.

The database of road transport loads has been started on the basis of the load classifications in GMP+ Appendix 14 road transport. The database offers, however, many opportunities to expand the information in this list. Synonyms and brand names of products can, for example, be added and it is possible to add the description of products and other relevant information. Users of the database will be invited via the response form to make suggestions for the improvement of the database.

From the 18th of December 2007 the organisations Qualimat, OVOCOM and PDV have achieved the compatibility of their systems with respect to road transport.
An agreement has been reached in which, on the one hand, the safety and the quality of the road transport of feed is to be increased and, on the other hand, the work of internationally-operating companies will be made easier. That means that the productclassifications from these certification schemes will be as much as equal.

The complete list of the database can be printed off in PDF format. Changes to the database will be announced to the GMP+ participants via the usual newsletters.
