The reason for these changes is the remarks by the Accreditation Council within the framework of the research for the acceptance of the GMP+ certification scheme 2006 in order for certification bodies to be accepted. In addition, changing insights have resulted in the change proposals for a number of items.

A summary of the changes per standard follows.

GMP C1
• Modification of the procedure for applying for acceptance and assessment
• All sections relating to the implementation of GMP+ certification which describe the relationship between the certification body and its customer have been moved to the GMP C3 standard in which they are positioned more logically.
• Possibility of temporarily suspending GMP auditors
• Annual information meeting is no longer mandatory
• Cooperation of companies in additional audits is mandatory

GMP C2
• A distinction has been made between the obligations of certification bodies and supervision by the BCD, on behalf of The Central Board of Experts, of compliance with these obligations

GMP C3
• The effective date of final certification has been established
• The possibilities for additional audits have been extended
• The requirement that auditors are to be rotated has been detailed
• Written registration and discussion of shortcomings before leaving the audit location, use of the registration form
• Ending of a suspension will always be followed by stricter supervision
• Various modifications in the table “minimum time expenditure per location”
• The reporting model has been changed
• The prescribed text on the GMP+ certificate has been changed in line with product certification
• Requirements with respect to content with which guaranteed brokers must comply have been removed. These are already specified in GMP Appendix 11.
• The certification body will check product conformity by way of sampling

GMP C4
• Rates for GMP+:2003 have been removed and some additions of missing tariffs have been resolved.
