Purchasing requirements for untreated agricultural products
GMP+-certified companies may purchase untreated feed materials from an uncertified grower under certain conditions. The GMP-certified company then has to provide its own guarantee for the product. The requirements which must be met by the GMP+-certified company are to be found in the standards in question. This purchasing requirement has been included in section 4.6 of GMP02-standard ‘Trading in and Production of Compound Feeds’, GMP04-standard ‘Production of Feed Materials’ and GMP05-standard ‘Trading in Feed Materials’. The purchasing requirement has also been adopted in GMP13.
Amendment to transport requirements
The requirements for transport have also been amended in the GMP13 standard. Transport from a GMP13-certified company to another GMP13-certified company does not have to be solely GMP07-certified. This transport can also be carried out under the guarantee of the GMP13-certified company and a number of requirements must be met. These requirements are stated in the GMP13 standard. The requirements for transport from a GMP13-certified company to a company certified under GMP02, GMP03-, GMP04, GMP05 or GMP09 are unchanged. This transport must be carried out by a company which is certified under GMP07 for this purpose.
The associated Q&A lists will be modified as a result of these amendments
The amendments will apply with effect from 1 April 2005 and will be binding from 16 February 2006.
