- Independent. CVB is an activity of the Dutch PDV (Product Board Animal Feed). PDV is a public body with guaranteed independence.
- Objective. Each (feeding) value and each advice is based on a document in which the proposal is scientifically and/or logically argued.
- Transparent. In principle, all CVB knowledge is available to users.
- Scientific basis. Researchers at renowned (Dutch) research institutes are involved in defining feed evaluation systems and the evaluation of feedstuffs.
- Easy to apply in daily practice. CVB stays close to daily practice by involving both buyers and producers of animal feedstuffs and compound feeds in the knowledge development process.
